Nominations for the School Biology Teacher of the Year Award close on Friday 13th December. The award aims to recognise the very best and most inspiring biology teachers and is open to teachers in the UK who work with students aged 11-18.

Details of how to apply are available on our competitions pages, along with details of other awards for teaching at school and university level.

Teachers can nominate themselves, or nominations can come from colleagues, parents of students, or school governors. Nominees must be a member of the Society of Biology at MSB grade or higher, or applying to become a member.

This award is supported by Science & Plants for Schools and Oxford University Press in conjunction with UK 3B Scientific Ltd and the National Science Learning Centre.
