Discover some of the amazing biology work taking place in and around Plymouth with STEM Hub!

Join the STEM Hub at City College Plymouth for Biology Week 2017 to discover some of the amazing biology work taking place in and around Plymouth. During the evening you will have the chance to hear from two fantastic biology linked organisations, ask your questions to the speakers, and also enjoy a bite to eat before the talks.

Devon Wildlife Trust will introduce STEM in conservation, looking at the Devon Beaver projects. After an absence of around 400 years, this native species is now returning to our landscape, with exciting research now being conducted on their introduction.

Cryogenics can sound a bit sci-fi but that is the work of Plymouth company Biovault. Leading the way in tissue processing and storage, hear first-hand how and why this company collects human tissue and its potential medical benefits.

Who should attend?

Aged 11+ and adults.

Cost

£2 admission fee (includes ticket, mini pizza and drinks). Tickets can be purchased on the Biology @ STEM website.
