Science Museum, Exhibition Road, Kensington, London SW7 2DD

Join the Science Museum for an adult-only, after-hours exploration of biology in its many different forms.

Discover the wonders of the animal kingdom, debunk medical myths and join us on a journey through the human digestive system. The Large Stand-up Collider will also be there, providing a host of comedians to tickle your funny bone.

Join Rick Edwards and Michael Brooks for the launch of their book Science(ish): The Peculiar Science Behind the Movies and hear them talk all things science, or come and learn about personalised medicine in How to Build a Virtual Human.

Virtual organs are already taking shape as a result of efforts by many groups worldwide. Among these groups are the CompBioMed consortium that carries out medical simulations using supercomputers, MareNostrum at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center and SuperMUC at the Leibniz Supercomputing Centre in Germany. As the Science Museum gears up for its £24 million new Medicine Galleries opening in 2019, you will see leading-edge simulations of living processes and be able to talk to scientists from the consortium who are attempting to recreate a human being in the digital realm.

Inspiring, enlightening and unbelievably good fun, Lates always draw a crowd, so we suggest you arrive early to ensure the best chance of getting in. Be advised that you may have to queue before a timed event.
