Annual General Meeting followed by a talk from science historian, Dr Patricia Fara
The branch AGM is an opportunity for members to come together, dialogue with the committee and get updates on the year's finances and activities as well as plan for the new year.
The meeting will be online via Zoom and will start with a talk by science historian Dr Patricia Fara titled 'Breaking Barriers: Science, Suffrage, Equality'. Dr Patricia Fara is a historian of science, an Emeritus Fellow of Clare College, Cambridge and a regular contributor to In Our Time. This talk is based on A Lab of One's Own: Science and Suffrage in the First World War; her other books include the prize-winning Science: A Four Thousand Year History and Sex, Botany and Empire: The Stories of Carl Linnaeus and Joseph Banks.

Cost and booking
The event is free to attend and open to all, although only members can vote on any agenda items. Advance booking is essential using the link at the top of the page. The Zoom meeting joining link will be circulated to registered guests ahead of the event.
