Innovating for the future: Daily lunchtime talks for schools from the RSB East Midlands branch

Join the East Midlands branch committee for six lunchtime online talks spanning British Science Week 2021. The talks will take a look at current research in different biological fields.

Each talk will take place from 13:00-14:00 each weekday (Friday 5th, Monday 8th-Friday 12th March) on Zoom, and there will be time for questions for the speakers.

Details of the speakers and their talks, can be downloaded, and a flyer is also available to advertise the event within your networks.

Who is this event for?

Designed to engage and enthuse students in years 11-13 (16-18 year olds), these talks will give insight into a variety of different biological fields. Other members are also welcome to take advantage of the opportunity to meet scientists in the East Midlands and beyond.

Booking and group bookings

This event is free to attend. Advance booking is essential through the link at the top of the page, and Zoom details will be send to all registered attendees ahead of the events. Teachers wishing to broadcast the talks to a school group to watch the events need only register themselves. If you wish to have individual spaces for each student, for example if students are learning from home, please register each student to ensure enough spaces are allocated.
