An online Charter Lecture delivered by Professor Alan McNally, University of Birmingham
The RSB East Midlands branch extend a warm invitation to their eagerly anticipated Charter Lecture.
Professor Alan McNally is a professor in microbial genomics at the University of Birmingham. However, during the COVID-19 outbreak he was seconded to the Milton Keynes Lighthouse Lab as infectious disease lead at the Government's first flagship COVID-19 testing facility. The facility was launched on 9th April 2020 and was the first of three ‘mega-labs' to be set up across the UK.
Alan's lecture will include some details of his COVID work, but will also touch on his research interests and his life before COVID-19. The title of the lecture will be shared on this event page in due course.
