A virtual talk with Dr Mike Berwick from the Wildlife Aid Foundation

The Wildlife Aid Foundation (WAF) is dedicated to the rescue, care and rehabilitation of sick, injured and orphaned wild animals. Established in 1980, the charity's veterinary wildlife hospital in Leatherhead, Surrey deals with more than 20,000 wildlife emergencies every year. Dr Mike Berwick, a long-standing volunteer at the Wildlife Aid Foundation, will provide insight into the rescue, veterinary care and rehabilitation of injured and orphaned British wildlife.

Mike has been a volunteer with the Wildlife Aid Foundation for 15 years. He is a team leader in the intensive care unit, an experienced rescuer and an educational speaker for the charity. He is also a genealogist and a former university lecturer with a PhD in physics. A lifelong wildlife enthusiast, he also volunteers with Surrey Amphibian & Reptile Group, Amphibian & Reptile Conservation Trust and the West Surrey Badger Group.
