A Charter Lecture from the RSB East Midlands branch, focusing on the subject of diabetes
Join the RSB East Midlands branch committee for their annual Charter Lecture which, this year, will focus on research in the field of diabetes.
Professor Melanie Davies CBE, professor of diabetes medicine at the University of Leicester, will deliver a talk entitled 100 Years of Insulin. Professor Davies is the director of the Leicester NIHR Biomedical Research Centre, Director of the Patient Recruitment Centre Leicester and a Professor in Diabetes Medicine. She has published over 550 original articles and has over £60m of grant funding. She was awarded a CBE in the 2016 New Year's Honour's List for services to diabetes research.
Buffet refreshments will be available from 18:30 before the lecture begins at 19:15.
There are options to attend both in-person, or virtually via Zoom.
