Discover the history of the Scottish fishing industry on this exclusive tour
Join us on a guided tour of the Scottish Fisheries Museum to learn the story of the development of the Scottish commercial fishing industry. This will include the opportunity to go onboard
the Reaper, a Fifie sailing herring drifter and part of the National Historic Fleet.
Venue
Will will meet at 11:00 at the
Scottish Fisheries Museum in Fife, opposite the RNLI lifeboat station and a paid car parking area. You can find more information on getting to the museum on their
website and on their
accessibility page. The museum has a
café and Anstruther also has an excellent fish and chipperies with indoor seating - though members brave enough to face the weather and the seagulls might prefer to dine out on the harbour walls!
Please note
As this tour will include sections outside and onboard the Reaper vessel, we recommend all attendees wear warm, wind-proof clothes that are suitable for the weather. Organisers will assess the weather forecast 5 days in advance to check for unfavourable conditions.
