An online talk by Dr Silvia Soares discussing diseases in fish
The Scottish Government Marine Directorate is responsible for the integrated management of Scotland's seas. Dr Silvia Soares has worked in the directorate for over a decade and in this online talk, will outline her career pathway and discuss the roles and responsibilities of the Scottish National Reference Laboratory and protective legislation for fish and shellfish.
Dr Soares will highlight diseases that fish, crustaceans and molluscs experience. She will discuss pathology and techniques used to diagnose infectious and non-infectious disease in both wild and farmed fish around the Scottish coast, and the factors affecting their health.
