An interactive online workshop from the Society for Experimental Biology


This interactive workshop to develop communication and presentation skills will help you develop your elevator pitch to summarise the highlights of your work in three minutes. Work on communicating your research to a new audience and getting your key points across in a short space of time, learn more about getting to know your target audience (and what they may want to hear), and work out your pitch structure before giving it a go.

Event trainer

Dr Sophie Morris has over 6 years of experience in public engagement and is an accredited educator in the higher education sector. After completing a PhD in Cancer Immunotherapies Sophie went on to develop her skills in science communication, public engagement and research impact in various roles. Current work includes designing and delivering public engagement training for different organisations across the UK and beyond.

Free for Society for Experimental Biology members
£12.50 for non-members
There will be a maximum of 20 participants with 15 places reserved for SEB members and 5 spaces available for non-members. Advance booking is essential through the SEB event page.
