A symposium from the Oxford and Cambridge University Biological Societies
From 22nd to 26th September, both the Oxford and Cambridge University Biological Societies, alongside eleven other student run science socities from Oxford and Cambridge, will be hosting the Varsity Sci symposium. This is a five-day event will bring together some of the best research in science, and be host to several prestigious keynote speakers including Professor Jane Clarke FRS, Professor Kim Nasmyth FRS, Professor Chris Perrins FRS and Dr Rolf Apweiler.
In addition to these speakers, over 35 speakers from both universities will deliver short 10-20 minute presentations at all levels. These presentations are on a range of topics, from the properties of ultracold atoms to coral reef ecology!
This symposium is free of charge and represents the first collaboration between student societies at these universities at this scale. In addition, it is organised by undergraduate students, and is completely a grassroots initiative.
