The Royal Society of Biology supports the National Science and Engineering Competition for 11-18 year olds who have completed a project in science, engineering or maths.
The Society supports and judges the Best Biology Student category of the SET Awards, Europe's top important awards for science and engineering undergraduate students.
We support The Big Bang Fair through sponsorship of the bioscience disciplinary Crest Award. This prize is awarded to the individual that produces the best project in the biological sciences. The winner receives £500, a certificate and an experience prize.
The Society supports the TeenTech Awards which challenge 11-16 year olds to develop ideas to make life better, simpler or easier. The 12 categories range from the future of transport to the future of food, energy to entertainment, wearable technology to health. There are £1000 prizes in each category and in 2015 winners of the 'Consumer Innovation Award' were offered the opportunity to have their product sold in stores across the UK.
