Join us for this joint event with the Devon Gardens Trust and find out about the work being done to protect our plants in historic parks and gardens from the challenges we face in the 21st century.
Historic parks and gardens not only face the challenge of adequate resources for their maintenance but also the increasing threat from climate change and from plant pests and diseases. Ian Wright has led the National Trust work to help prevent the spread and impact of plant diseases and collections; the guidance he developed is used internationally. In 2017, he was awarded the prestigious RHS Associate of Honour.
The lecture will be held in the Mint Methodist Centre in Fore Street, five minutes walk from Exeter Cathedral and within ten minutes walking distance of Exeter Central Railway Station. See the map for more details.
