Pride in London Parade Ballot
A ballot for RSB members and guests wanting to be part of the Pride in London Parade on Saturday 6th July
Royal Society of Biology is excited to have tickets to be a walking group in the Pride in London Parade 2019. We welcome all RSB members and up to two guests to apply for a space on the parade through the ballot.
The RSB actively works to increase the visibility of the LGBT+ community within the biosciences, to discuss and challenge the barriers LGBT+ scientists still face, and develop support networks for members of the LGBT+ community. You can read more about our equality and diversity work on our website.
Pride in London will celebrate and provide a platform for every part of London's LGBT+ community to raise awareness of LGBT+ issues and campaign for the freedoms that will allow them to live their lives on an equal footing. Further details about Pride in London can be found on their website.
About the parade
The parade sets off from Portland Place at 12:00, moving down Oxford Circus, along Regent Street to Piccadilly Circus, Lower Regent Street, Pall Mall and then passing Trafalgar Square before finishing on Whitehall. Successful applicants will be sent details about timings for the day, along with other key information.
Places are limited so entrants will be entered into a ballot and randomly selected.
The ballot will be open from Wednesday 29th May to Sunday 16th June. All entrants will be notified on Monday 17th June. Unsuccessful entrants will be automatically added to a waiting list and will be contacted closer to the event if places become available. If you are unsuccessful we encourage you to attend Pride and watch the parade.
When entering the ballot, please include your name and any accessibility requirements. You can also select which size RSB pride t-shirt you would like, which will be provided on the day. Please note we are unable to cover travel and subsistence costs for the event.
If you have any event or booking queries please contact Ellie Oakley at email@example.com or on 020 3925 3444.
