The Society of Biology was shortlisted in the Main Membership Website category of the MemCom Awards and yesterday were recognised with a Highly Commended prize.

MemCom is a resource for membership bodies, charities and non-for-profit organisations. Following on from the MemCom Conference, the Awards celebrate excellence in membership marketing and communication.

This years' Conference theme was 'Membership Commercials - Making money to do good things'. Jon Kudlick, director of membership, marketing and communications at the Society spoke about the challenges of growing a small professional organisation.

We are proud of this accolade and judges' comments: "What stood out was the functionality on the home page offering the user tailored content. On click through, the content was indeed tailored so expectations were matched."
