Plant science is a multidisciplinary area of biology including for example ecology, taxonomy, genetics, biochemistry, systems biology, horticulture and plant pathology. Plant science is key to providing secure nutrition globally, in the face of population increase pressures and unprecedented climate change effects.
UKPSF is a special interest group of the Royal Society of Biology. It aims to bring together the plant science community in the UK and to create a coordinated approach to research, industry, funding, education and outreach in this vital sector of the biosciences.
More details about the Federation can be found at the UKPSF main website and in the UKPSF web pages on our site.
If your organisation would like to be part of this exciting initiative, please contact email UKPSF.
The UKPSF operates with financial support from the Society for Experimental Biology (SEB), the Biochemical Society and the British Society for Plant Pathology (BSPP). The UKPSF was founded with support from the Gatsby Charitable Foundation and SEB.
