Biologist of Tomorrow
The Royal Society of Biology (RSB) has previously partnered with Content With Purpose to showcase biology’s central role in helping us overcome some of our most pressing global issues. Building on this work, the RSB has now launched the ‘Biologist of Tomorrow’ project to help ensure bioscientists have the skills to realise their potential whilst tackling those key societal challenges.
Together with an expert working group, we’ll deliver evidence-based, actionable policy recommendations to help address current and emerging skills challenges affecting the wider bioscience community.
About the project
This project is a collaborative effort supported by the Anatomical Society, Applied Microbiology International, the Biochemical Society, the British Ecological Society, the British Society for Immunology, and The Genetics Society.
It aims to:
- Establish an evidence based, interdisciplinary breakdown of the skills needed by the bioscience workforce.
- Ensure the RSB and partners can inform interventions across education, recruitment, training, funding, and policy on skills.
Request for proposals
The RSB called for proposals from research consultancies to deliver the services detailed in the enclosed 'Project brief' section of the Biologist of Tomorrow – Request for Proposals document. This is now closed.
Should you have any questions regarding the project or proposal, please also contact consultation@rsb.org.uk.
