Being elected as an RSB member
The Royal Society of Biology's Council is responsible for electing new members, however our membership team will be able to provide guidance about which grade to apply for and what evidence you will need to include in your application.
Our membership elections take place each quarter on the 1 January, 1 April, 1 July, and 1 October. To ensure your application is considered we must have received it no less than seven days prior to the election date.

Coming from the creative industries, my RSB membership allows me to take a unique transdisciplinary approach, opening-up exciting new opportunities to work at the interface between biosciences, design, engineering and mental health.
My RSB membership allows me to engage more with the impact of biosciences on societal issues, education, and the wider public, as well as academia, and hence contribute to RSB discourse on public policy and ethical issues, roles not extensively covered by specialised learned societies.
