Parliamentary Engagement in Westminster
The Royal Society of Biology parliamentary events connect the scientific community with Government and Parliament, fostering dialogue and collaboration. Our main flagship events include the annual Parliamentary Links Day and Voice of the Future.
Parliamentary Steering Group
RSB’s main parliamentary engagement at Westminster is carried out on behalf of RSB’s Parliamentary Steering Group (PSG) to provide a stronger unified voice for the scientific community and to ensure Societies are kept up-to-date with parliamentary issues and developments.
The PSG is comprised of: Anatomical Society, Applied Microbiology International, Association of Applied Biologists, Biochemical Society, British Ecological Society, British Pharmacological Society, British Society for Immunology, Council for the Mathematical Sciences, Genetics Society, Geological Society, Institute of Physics, Royal Society of Chemistry, Society for Experimental Biology, and Society for Radiological Protection.

Parliamentary Links Day
Links Day is the largest science event on the annual Parliamentary events calendar, and is organised by the Royal Society of Biology on behalf of the science and technology community. The event has a different theme each year and brings together scientists, learned societies, and Members of Parliament.

Voice of the Future
This event offers young scientists and engineers the chance to put their burning science policy questions to key political figures, through a unique opportunity in Westminster. Organised by the Royal Society of Biology on behalf of the science and engineering community, the annual event reverses the format of a Parliamentary Select Committee, giving a panel of early career scientists the opportunity to question senior figures from Parliament and Government on issues that matter to them.
