Win a prize by finding and photographing local wildlife in our regional scavenger hunt.
This event encourages everyone to start exploring our outside spaces, our gardens, local parks, or wildlife reserves in search of wildlife native to our region. Our scavenger hunters are given three 'target' animals, insects or plants a week. These targets will vary in difficulty, with some harder to find than others, and the difficulty will be reflected in the number of points they are worth.
Your goal as a hunter is simple. All you need to do is attend a weekly Zoom call
that discusses the process, reveals that week's targets, and answers any questions about the hunt. You will then have a week to locate and photograph as many of your targets as possible before submitting your best photos to the Beds, Essex and Herts
regional email inbox.
The event will run for the five weeks over July and August with a few specially themed weeks planned for over the summer holidays. The hunt will end with an award ceremony (either online or in- person if restrictions permit) to celebrate your excellent photos and award the winners.
Please note: This event will take place from 23rd July to the 27th August and will involve weekly Zoom meetings.
