Emerging Topics in Life Sciences

Emerging Topics in Life Sciences, which we jointly own with the Biochemical Society, has ceased publication. Volume 9 (2025) is the final volume of the journal. 

The journal was produced to support the needs of researchers who are moving fields or require an overview of an emerging topic. Covering research-driven reviews, each issue focused on new or growing fields of life science research. All published content will remain accessible for future reference.

The decision to close the journal reflects challenges in securing content amid an evolving publishing landscape. The owner societies will continue to partner on other projects, as well as focusing on their other publications and activities to ensure continued support for their communities. Thank you to all authors, reviewers, guest editors and Editorial Board members for their contributions to the journal’s success.
