The West Midlands branch committee invite you to join our visit to the summer bioarchaeology exhibitions
. The event will take place in Worcester on Saturday 7th July
from 11:30 - 14:30

Worcester City Art Gallery and Museum opens to public; arrive any time during this and explore the museum independently; visit the Ice Age exhibition; use the café; order lunch (all optional) 11:30-12:30
Official Start to the day: Check in to the Worcester Giant Wombat talk in the old pharmacist's shop12:30-13:30
Lunch in museum cafe with 10% discount or independent lunch; additional time to explore museum independently13:30-13:50
Group meet for walk to The Hive (joint community/university library) with curator (or independent travel to the Hive) 13:50-14:00
Group assembles in the Hive 14:00-14:45
Brief introduction to exhibitions (Origins of Us & Through the Mists of Time) with a focus on the history of scientific thought relating to the Ice Age, human evolution and our species' place in the wider scheme of what it means to be human14:45
Free time if wanted to explore more of the exhibition and the Hive itself / end of event
This event is limited to 15 people and booking is essential using the above link.
Tickets cost £5 per RSB member and per accompanied child of members; £8 for non-members.
Worcester City Art Gallery & Museum, Foregate Street, Worcester is just a few minutes walk from Worcester Foregate Street railway station. There are many metred car parks around Worcester, though not adjacent to the museum.
The Hive, Sawmill Walk, The Butts, Worcester, is the only community & university library in Europe. It is a large, gold-coloured building; about 15 minutes walk downhill from the museum. There are car parks adjacent to The Hive.
Both venues are fully accessible. Do wear sensible shoes for walking around and between the venues and sensible clothing for the weather.
