Guided walk through the Chantries near Guildford to find and if possible identify the mushrooms, toadstools and wood rotting fungi to be found there

Once again we have arranged a tour of the Chantries just outside Guildford, led by Professor Maurice Moss to find and identify the fungal fruiting bodies to be found there. We will meet at 11:00 in the Chantries car park. This event always results in an interesting and varied collection of mushrooms, toadstools and wood rotting species. The area over which we will walk may be rough, hilly and/or damp so please wear appropriate shoes and clothing.

Directions

To find the Chantries, take the A281 south from Guildford, then about a mile out of Guildford turn East into Pilgrims Way. As you reach a bend in Pilgrims Way (GU4 8AD) you will find a track on the right at the end of which is the car park.

Booking

Booking will open on Saturday the 14th of September. This event is free to attend, but advance booking is essential using the link at the top of the page.
