A school workshop for Key Stage 4 students to learn about antibiotic resistance
Bug Fight! is a 1-hour schools workshop for Key Stage 4 (GCSE) students. During this workshop, students will learn about the history of antibiotics, the development of antibiotic resistance and the work of researchers to develop novel antibiotics.
This workshop aligns with and builds on topics covered as past of the GCSE science curriculum.
The workshop is formed of three activities; a zone-of inhibition experiment, a Lego competition to learn about enzyme inhibition and a practical where compounds are tested as possible new therapies.
