This two-day course is designed to provide the participants with the most recent information on the microbiota of laboratory rodents and on the use of gnotobiotic animals as experimental models.
The programme of the course also includes topics related to the organisation and management of facilities that breed and use such animals for research.
The lectures will cover the interactions of microbiota with the host organism and, in particular, the impact on numerous aspects of animal normal physiology and on the development of many diseases.
