A visit and guided tour of Dilston Physic Garden, Corbridge
Discover the power of plants on this guided tour of
Dilston Physic Garden. The Garden embraces the natural beauty of plants for health, medicines and well-being.
Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the extensive and varied gardens individually and will also have a half-hour long tour led by Dr Nicolette Perry from Dilston who will talk about plant medicines.
The gardens open at 11.00, and guests should arrive promptly at 10:45 in time for the first tour. A second tour will take place at 11:30.
Guests will be outside for the whole visit, and are free to explore the gardens either side of the guided tour. Guests are advised to please dress according to the weather conditions. Tea, coffee and refreshments can be purchased in the garden.
Accessibility
Access is not yet suitable for wheelchairs, though wheelchairs are possible on the grass paths if the weather is dry. Most of the Physic Garden is at one level, the ground is grass and there are narrow gravel paths around some beds. There are seats at intervals placed around the physic garden.
Cost and booking
This event is free to attend. To help plan for the tour, the registration for this visit will close on Friday 13th May 2022, so please register in advance to avoid disappointment.
