The Society has been providing this popular half-day course since 2014, to support those who would like to develop their presentation skills.
The learning style of this course will be ‘hands on' and interactive, therefore capacity is limited to 10 places which will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.

This half-day course is for those who have had little experience of giving presentations.

- Uses and abuses of visual aids with a focus on Powerpoint

The course will be run in an interactive style, where participation of course attendees will be encouraged.
Course tutor Professor Sue Smith FRSB is professor in medical education and director of teaching at the National Heart and Lung Institute, a constituent of the Faculty of Medicine, Imperial College London. She graduated with a first class BSc pharmacology from the University of Liverpool before moving to London to study for a part-time PhD in biochemistry, investigating the effects of tobacco smoke on proteolytic activity at the lung surface.
In 2007 she was the recipient of a Rector's Award for Excellence in Teaching. Holding leadership roles relating to educational activity provides her with excellent opportunities to undertake educational research. One of her current interests is in understanding how we can help undergraduate students and postgraduate trainees learn more effectively.
