Find out about the variety of careers open to bioscience students at the annual Royal Society of Biology Bioscience Careers Day (BCD), taking place this year online.


Event format

This year the Bioscience Careers Day will take place over five days from Monday 2nd November to Friday 6th November. Each day is themed around an area of the biosciences, hosted by a representative organisation from our Careers Committee. With expert talks, Q&As and CV and interview tips, each day is designed to enhance your knowledge of the variety of careers available to bioscience graduates. There will also be opportunities to chat with bioscience professionals and other students from across the UK.

Wednesday - Careers in Addressing Global Challenges
Thursday - Careers in Communication for Bioscientists
Friday - Employability Skills for Bioscientists

Who can attend?

BCD is aimed at undergraduate and Master's students. PhD students, postdocs, careers advisors and school/ college students considering a bioscience degree are also very welcome. Each day's programme of talks and discussion will take place from 10:00-12:00. A detailed programme will be available to download shortly. £5 - One day BCD ticket (choose your day upon booking)
£10 - Full week BCD ticket
£10 - One day BCD ticket and student RSB membership (choose your day upon booking)
£15 - Full week BCD ticket and student RSB membership

RSB student affiliate (undergraduate) and associate (Master's) membership costs £15. With this exclusive event offer, new student members will get a years' membership and a full week ticket at our popular Bioscience Careers Day.

To register for this event, create a free account on our website with your name and email address. If you'd like to benefit from the RSB membership offer, let us know your university (in the 'Organisation' field) and pop your graduation date in the 'Job title or Position' field. We will be in contact to organise your membership.

Details for joining the sessions for each day will be sent out to registered attendees ahead of the event.
