Registered Scientist

This pan-science award is open to members of the RSB who demonstrate the required professional competences and a commitment to CPD.

Registered Scientist is a nationally recognised professional award which allows holders to demonstrate skills, experience and knowledge; improves professional status and recognition; allows the use of the postnomimal letters RSci after the holder's name, and provides progression to the higher awards of Chartered Status. Registered scientists are required to join and maintain RSB membership.

Shortened application routes have been created for some apprenticeships.

This register is operated through a licence offered by the Science Council.
