Policy Engagement
The Royal Society of Biology is currently undertaking a programme of stakeholder engagement, to understand how our committee structure and staff team can best support both the needs of RSB Member Organisations and delivery against the RSB’s science policy priorities. Specifically, this refers to the RSB science policy pillars of nature and climate, biological security, and ethical biological innovation. This is being done in conjunction with the RSB’s new five-year strategy.
This process involves consulting our Member Organisations through questionnaires and roundtable discussions, to ensure we are delivering on our charitable aims to provide the maximum benefit to our Member Organisations, the wider bioscience community, society as a whole, and the life forms and systems on which we depend.
As part of this process, the RSB’s Animal and Plant Science group meetings have been paused in their current format. However, we continue to engage with these committees on relevant issues, such as policy positions and resource sharing and dissemination. We will provide an update on this process in due course.
If you have any questions about the RSB’s new science policy pillars engagement programme, please contact the Science Policy team.
