Somerset's only rural, free, family festival of science, technology, engineering and mathematics

This FREE festival of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) sets out to inspire the residents of the South West with the amazing science and technology that goes on in the area and underpins all our daily lives.

The 2024 festival will have 67 different organisations contributing and there will be 91 activities in all including exciting shows and hands-on workshops, talks, displays and a giant interactive science fair and biozone.

Getting there

The event takes place across 6 venues with main hubs at Haynes International Motor Museum, Sparkford and Castle Cary Town in South Somerset. Shuttle buses will run between venues to make exploring the festival easy.
Visitors can arrive by car at Haynes via  the A303/A359, or take the train to Castle Cary train station.

Who is this suitable for?

Anyone with an interest in STEM, and in particular we aim to engage with young people from 4 -19 to show just how many different futures are possible with STEM as a base.
