A range of resources are available for you to use to promote the benefits of RSB membership, including more information about RSB membership grades, FAQs, promotional and presentation materials for use at RSB events, interest forms for potential members to fill in and PowerPoint presentations.

The following are the most up-to-date resources for you to use.

  • Materials request form - Closed until further notice

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, RSB staff are currently working remotely and therefore unable to access physical materials in the office. Thank you for your patience.

  • In future, if you would like to request some RSB literature for your event, please complete all sections of the online request form in no less than 7 working days before the event itself. Requests are processed on a Monday afternoon. There are also some links in the form directing you to resources for you to download and print yourself.

  • Interest form: Double-sided OR single-sided

Print and cut in half to make A5 sized forms.
People can fill in their details if they would like to learn more about membership. You can either transcribe their details, or scan them and attach to an email to the toolkit mailbox, or you can post to Membership, Royal Society of Biology, 1 Naoroji Street, London WC1X 0GB.
Please make sure that you adhere to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and destroy documents containing personal data – if you have emailed scanned forms, please destroy the forms, and delete both the document and email in your sent folder.

  • Poster

This poster covers the five reasons to join the RSB. Either order a hard copy through the materials request form, or download and print from the link. This is for you to display in your institution, and you can fill in your RSB Ambassador in the bottom right hand corner for people to contact about the RSB.

  • Membership FAQs (for your reference only)

A list of frequently asked questions with answers to help you talk both generically about what the Society does, and more specifically about what membership can offer.

  • Membership benefits spreadsheet (for your reference only)

A grid of membership benefits and fees for every grade of membership, to help you in answering any questions you receive.

PowerPoint slides

If you are interested in promoting membership through delivering a presentation or including some RSB slides in an original presentation, then please download the pre-prepared slides below. There are instructions throughout the presentations on how to personalise it, you'll find these enclosed in curly brackets { } on the slides and in the notes.
