The winner of the award will receive £500 for themselves, £500 of Oxford University Press resources for their school, and also one year’s free membership of the Royal Society of Biology at the appropriate grade.
The 2018 award has now closed for nominations. The winner will be announced in July.
The award process has two stages: an initial detailed nomination supported by a senior colleague, which is followed by a short-listing of up to three candidates who are assessed in further detail through submission of a case study report and a school visit.
Individuals can enter by being nominated, either by themselves, a colleague, parent/guardian of a student, school governor or head teacher, using our application form.
The award is open to all teachers who are working with students aged 11-18 years old, teaching pre-university level biology programmes of study, and currently employed in a UK based school or college.
