Royal Society of Biology AGM
Annual General Meeting 2020
The AGM, due to take place on 6th May, has been postponed to later in the year. Members will be notified once a date is confirmed. Trustee elections are still under way with the deadline extended to Friday 17th April. Members will receive an email containing voting details from the electoral company Civica. Please direct queries to Harriet McAra at email@example.com
Volunteering as a Trustee on the RSB Council is one of the best ways to help influence how the Royal Society of Biology delivers its charitable aims and acts as a unified voice for biology. This year there are two vacancies on Council, one open to Individual Members of the RSB and one to representatives of Member Organisations. To stand as a Trustee of the RSB you must be nominated by your peers. Nominations for these roles have now closed and an election is under way. Results of the elections will be announced at the AGM.
The following resolutions will be voted on by members at the Annual General Meeting:
- Approval of the Annual Report and Accounts of the Society for the year October 2018 - September 2019.
- Authorisation for Council to appoint haysmacintyre as the Society’s auditors for the financial year October 2019 - September 2020 and to set their remuneration.
Annual General Meeting 2019
Last year's Annual General Meeting was held on Wednesday 15th May 2019 at The Law Society, London. It included a Charter Lecture, presentation of the Trustee’s Report and Accounts, election of new Trustees to the RSB Council, and a buffet lunch.
Over 100 members and representatives from Member Organisations attended the AGM. Draft minutes are available to download and will be formally approved at the AGM in 2020.
