Royal Society of Biology AGM
Annual General Meeting 2020
Volunteering as a Trustee on the RSB Council is one of the best ways to help influence how the Royal Society of Biology delivers its charitable aims and acts as a unified voice for biology. This year there are two vacancies on Council, one open to Individual Members of the RSB and one to representatives of Member Organisations. To stand as a Trustee of the RSB you must be nominated by your peers. Please read through the Role Description for a Council member before applying.
Individual members at MRSB and FRSB grade are eligible to stand as Trustees. A nomination form needs to be filled in by a nominator and a further five members of the RSB and include a personal statement from the nominee.
Member organisation (at Full Member grade) can put forward any individual to represent them provided they are a member of that organisation. Nomination forms must include the names and signatures of two other MOs supporting the application and a personal statement from the nominee.
The deadline for nominations is 10:00 on Friday 21st February. If there is more than one nomination from The outcome of nominations and any vote will be announced at the AGM.
The following resolutions will be voted on by members at the Annual General Meeting:
- Approval of the Annual Report and Accounts of the Society for the year October 2018 - September 2019.
- Authorisation for Council to appoint haysmacintyre as the Society’s auditors for the financial year October 2019 - September 2020 and to set their remuneration.
